Software Engineer - Embedded (Early-Mid Level) 💰 Salary: $80,000 - 120,000 per year

📝 Rquirements

• Bachelors degree in computer engineering or a related field
• At least 2 years of experience designing embedded software in the U.S.
• Proficiency in C programming and Microsoft Office
• Ability to work with target hardware in a lab, using bench equipment and other tools for debugging and analysis
• Strong attention to detail, organization, focus, and results orientation
• Problem-solving, critical-thinking, and prioritization skills
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Preferred: Experience developing safety-critical software under RTCA DO-178C, DO-254, or a similar process
• Preferred: Experience with C# for PC application software or VHDL programming
• Preferred: Experience with Design for Manufacture and Design for Test (DFM/DFT)
• Preferred: Experience designing or troubleshooting PCB system hardware

👩‍💻👨‍💻 Your responsibilities are

• Design and implement embedded C software for bare-metal microcontroller systems, with the option to develop VHDL firmware for FPGA-based systems
• Research components, technologies, and methods for new designs
• Develop tools for manufacturing, calibration, and verification of safety-critical products
• Build and troubleshoot hardware, including basic soldering and use of test equipment, working in office and test-lab settings
• Prototype and run test programs to verify performance, regulatory, and quality requirements
• Create and document designs in required formats, including bills of materials, engineering change orders, and work instructions
